The model is just a massive 2D array of floats loaded into RAM

PART 1 — AI / ML Mental Model for SDEs

Think of an AI model not as a magic brain, but as a compiled binary that exposes a single, stateless function.

Example: In traditional software, you write rules:

def is_spam(email):
    if "viagra" in email or "prince" in email:
        return True
    return False

In AI, you don't write the rules. You provide a dataset of 10,000 emails labeled is_spam=True or is_spam=False. The training process compiles this into a matrix of weights.

Inference (Production):

# The model is just a massive 2D array of floats loaded into RAM
model_weights = load_weights("model.bin")

def inference(input_data):
    # Pure linear algebra. No 'if' statements.
    return matrix_multiply(input_data, model_weights)

print(inference("Hello, I am a prince")) # Output: 0.99 (99% probability of spam)
